DeLayce Hudak, CMT

Operations Manager / Co-Founder

DeLayce has been involved in the transcription industry for over 20 years in a variety of roles. Starting her career as a medical transcriptionist, DeLayce worked for 10 years transcribing within a large healthcare enterprise. In 2002, DeLayce became the first transcription supervisor for a start-up transcription service and helped guide its direction and vigorous growth for 6 years. During that time, DeLayce developed skills in team management, staff recruiting and training, and quality programs. DeLayce has been an active member of AAMT (now AHDI) for many years and currently serves as the president of the Carolinas Regional Association for Healthcare Document Integrity. DeLayce is one of a small percentage of those involved with medical transcription that has earned the Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) designation. In addition, DeLayce volunteers time assisting other staff members and area transcription professionals with a CMT study group to help prepare them for the certification exam.

An active family of a husband and three children keeps DeLayce busy, and together they enjoy travel, gardening, hiking, and culinary pursuits. Short-term dreams include a vacation to Italy to explore the wine country and experience the Italian culture and cuisine.

John Stines

John brings over 20 years of healthcare technology experience to TransPortal. Johnís entrepreneurship had an early start when he founded a successful technology consulting firm while still a student in college. His alma mater became an early customer. For the last 18 years, John has focused solely on transcription and healthcare technology with hundreds of successful projects ranging from complete web-based dictation and transcription systems to HL7 interfacing, speech recognition initiatives, and EMR integration.

John has a degree in Computer Science/Business Administration from Belmont Abbey College. Johnís love of the great outdoors is reflected in his hobbies of fly fishing, hiking, kayaking, gardening, and large format landscape photography. Outside of work, he is most often found engaged in family activities with his wife and two sons. John enjoys working with environmental stewardship and philanthropic organizations.
